Task Force Mad-[REDACTED]
A downloadable game for Windows
WARNING: THIS GAME IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN OR THE EASILY DISTURBED. IT CONTAINS VIOLENT AND DISTURBING IMAGES, DEPICTIONS OF MENTAL ILLNESS, AND THE POSSIBILITY OF IT PLAYING YOU AS YOU PLAY IT! PLAYER DISCRETION ADVISED!
Most RPGs have you play as a ragtag band of misfits on a heroic quest to commit deicide, assassinate a dark lord or topple a technologically-advanced empire.
This is not one of those RPGs.
In this comedic, episodic, science-fantasy horror RPG/visual novel hybrid, you play as Director F’rreh’khhokha “Filly” Prrrkhrr - otherworldly bureaucrat and misanthropic megalomaniac - and the societal rejects she managed to contract for four years of service in exchange for one or two wishes. Sure, Meta-op Battlegroup Unit 25 might eventually be tasked with assassinating a god down the line or giving a technological empire, corporate or otherwise, a long overdue regime change but don't expect much gold or XP for your efforts. And the Deigems - compact quantum computers designed to give whoever uses them the power to manipulate certain universal laws such as time - that Filly assigns to these operatives also have the nasty side effect of turning the operatives using them into biomechanical nightmares should their service take its toll on their sanity. So whether to schedule regular counselling appointments or wait for their inevitable mutation that can either be converted into a battery for Filly's private benefactor or put out of their misery by their comrades is entirely up to you.
Meanwhile, a writer by the name of Dennis Barlow is stuck in an inn with his mum after a car crash left the both of them in the middle of nowhere. And he is experiencing some uneasy dreams that dig deep into the recesses of his consciousness. Dreams that he may use as inspiration for his book, should he find the pages within them.
EPISODES:
- Episode 1: Fresh Meat - After a long medication-induced haze, inspiration struck Filly as she completed the prototype of a new Deigem. Project: Tempura Salve. The only thing left to do is find a suitable candidate for it. Does she recruit a drunk British lech who should have dropped out of A-Levels when he had the chance or does she recruit the psychotic space marine from a future above her paygrade?
